Hey all.. maybe someone knows whats going on i have tons of power until 9lb of boost and then all the boost dissapears... there is no engine jolt... just the boost dissapears! I have a MSquirt ECU..... I have an appointment at Battleground for tuning ..do you think they could figure it out ?
I'm sure they can...all the tuners in this area area are excellent at diagnosing problems. I'm sure both Dan at Batlground or Scott / Doug w/ Topspeed can figure it out. Btw...sounds like a wastegate issue...
What kinda turbo you got on thur? Sounds wastegatish to me as well. Vf39? Cuz wastegate issues are common with those.
WG opening 1. WG kaput 2. BCS not releasing pressure (pinch hose, BCS kaput,...) 3. boost lines/hoses damage crack opens at threshold
Does "disappears" means goes to 0 or just stops rising? If the WG was "kaput" it wouldn't actuate, so it wouldn't open, and he'd overboost, not have less. If ANY of the lines/hoses are damaged or leaking it won't open when it should, so it would overboost, not have less. If it only makes 9 psi the whole time then it's possible the BCS is dead or not being activated by the ecu... nevermind - different person. Siegel

Worst day at dyno okay we found out that my original mechanic needs to be shot! my timing was off like 108 retarted my trigger wheel was wrong the megasquirt wiring was wrong spark plug order was wrong timing was off also... now theres a slight boost leak! okay... battleground kicks ASS!!! and hopefully tuesday.. it will be ready for tuning! now that the kinks were worked out
