Looks good. Are you going to keep the stock cat-back for now?

Yes, as I shop around / save for APS, I will keep the stock catback. Married, I bought this pipe off a friend in upstate NY.

Oh, and it shouldnt be too smelly, considering I am leaving the stock catback on.

Whats the diameter of that DP, It looks wee compared to my Stromung?

3.5" and tapers to 3", which continues through the rest of the pipe. Here are the basic downpipe types:

I am not familiar with a STi's exhaust but is this both the down-pipe and the mid-section in one piece? Maybe that is why it looks different in the picture. It’s so long that the diameter appears small. What size is your rear section? Just curious on the match up, gaskets and such. A PITA on my car.

Looks like it replaces the down and mid pipe, like most aftermarket DPs...

I have a Random dp that is catless and then their cat mid section. Two short pieces.
    Similiar to these. http://xcceleration.com/itemdetails.cfm83.htm
I see nothing wrong with it being all one piece at all however. Less gaskets to blow. :)
