i'm just installing the cat back until i can get my factory airbox back from nc, or borrow one. my question is what would i use to remove the rubber hangers other than elbow grease?

You should not need anything more then pliers. The hangers are kinda tricky at first, but it is actually really simple. Just but 1 side of the pliers un against the metal piece, the other end against the rubber hanger and pry. It will come off.

it's on. simple enough, but thanks for the advice. it's fitted and it clears my trailer hitch, but i doubt i'll retain the hitch after installing the downpipe. yaaaaaaaaaay!!! boxer sounds!

You can also use dish soap. Doesn't hurt the bushing and makes it slip right on and off. Just put a dab or two on your finger and work it around the hangar and inside of the bushing. Also helps when taking it off...( I realize you already did it, just for future reference...)
