I am looking into upgrading the stock brake setup with the Stock STI Brembo setup and want to make sure that my Prodrive OZ wheels will accept the upgrade...anyone know for sure?

They are 18" Prodrive O.Z. Racing...They came with the car when I purchased and found the receipt from SOG where the original owner purchased but cannot find out if it is the ET46 or the ET53. Prodrive site says the ET46 will but I cannot find either stamped on the rim. But then again it says the STI with brembo's not WRX upgraded to Brembo's.

Now after reading some other threads I am thinking I should upgrade to slotted rotors and some killer pads and give that a try. Beats the grand I would spend on the Brembos to convert. Any suggestions

In all honesty, the brembo's off the sti are only necessary if you plan on doing serious braking applications. A good set of pads on the WRX with fluid and SS lines will produce a noticable improvement. Ill-WRX just bought the subydude brake upgrade (pads, rotors, etc) package so maybe he'll reply with his thoughts.

I agree with alex. No need to swap the calipers and all that unless you are planning to do some track days and still, it's not "necessary".

Pads and fluid will make a huge improvement.

Also, did you take you wheels off? The offset stamp may be on the surface that touches the rotor.

I have not taken off the rims...I did just buy 4 slotted rotors with SS lines for 249.99 with free shipping. I just called one of the guys on EBAY and asked them to make me a set slotted only. Now just need to find some Carbotech's locally for a good price that or the Hawk's also need some good fluid. Any of you know where to get the pads at a good price?

Both of our vendors sell Hawk and Carbotech pads, Subaru of Gwinnett PD and Sakari Motorsports.

Call SS today, and he'll set you up with some pads.
