Are these cams any good? I don't want to hear GSC is better....that's not the question and I'm getting GSC's anyways. Researching a budget build for a friend and I can get a hold of the BC 272's for very cheap.

So Doug (if you read this) I know BC sponsored your race car but you didn't use their cams. Have you any experience with them? For the money are they decent for a 400-500 hp car?

I have tuned a few sets on the 2.0l wrx heads. They seem to work really well.

I ran Crower VTEC cams on my turbo Honda and they worked really well FWIW.

I think that is a different Crower:) Brian Crower (BC) is different from Crower.

Well, when I ran cams in my built/blown B20 motor, there was no such thing as BC....Only Crower cams. BC came from Crower.

Did you ever hear of the White Civic from Auburn about 10 years ago:) I won the first Nopi Drag Wars Power 4 Division in it at a whoping 12.6 pass with 288WHP. That was before the built motor though.

I think that I do vaguely remember the car. I bet my buddy that worked at PTAP in Columbus (Mack) does. He was a BIG Civic/Integra guy...

Brian Crower is Crower's son ;)

Shoot now that Doug has blessed them and Scott says they work well I may end up getting a set for myself as well. I can get them for almost $600 cheaper.

Yeah, I knew he was related but didnt know he was his son.

Coolrex, that is why I went with BC cams. Everything I have read said they were great cams for the money and even the guy doing my heads said he preferred them. I got a set of the cams, retainers, spring kit for 300 less than anyone elses cams only.

I just bought the last two sets. You can't get them at my price no more.

However you can get them for $526.50 plus the 3 month member fee at yoparts.com.

I've bought a ton of parts from them in the past. Usually if you are buying several things the member fee is nothing when you see what you are saving.

Call Topspeed and see if Tray can match or beat that though.

    For arguements sake......

SS or Doug, how will the BC 272's compare with just doing STi cams on a WRX hybrid using WRX heads? Will the BC 272's significantly out perform the the STi cams? How and where?

no problem, if you aren't worried about getting every little last bit of power out of it the BC cams are probably fine and I'm sure topspeed can match that pricing.
