ok we have a 2.5rs block with stock pistons and everything straight from subaru. we are going to turbo it and i need to know a good place to look at turbo pistons and everything i need for it from the pistons to the hoses. we are going to put 2.2 heads on it and just build up from there. im stil learnig all the turbo stuff and im only 18 years old and my brother is only 16 so we are learning. subarus are our life we live drink and sweat subaru. i knew this would be the place to do it cuz everyone is from around here and knows what they are talking about. so any information would be greatly appreciatied. thanks Matt
I think you could turbo it and really limit the boost to 5 or 6psi and be fine on the internals. The Nasioc "Subaru Conversion", and "Aftermarket Turbocharged" sections have a lot of good info.
we are thinking of that but we are still putting this thing together as we go. im reading as much as i can on it to do it right. if i did the stock pistons and ran the low boost it will be ok like you said and i respest that cuz it's ALOT cheaper. but i am gonna drive that thing soooo hard when it is runnin but again we're still putting this whole thing together.
You'll need some sort of engine management too. If you guys are feeling handy you could just save up for a WRX motor swap or even an older JDM STI motor.
i forgot about porter i haven't seen or heard from him since i think it was april when we went to the dragon.
