bump?

everywhere i look there is someone saying "bump".. what does it mean? :wiggle:

 

Its when someone posts just to make that thread "bump" up to the top of the list. Does that make sense??? I couldnt think of how to word it.

 

exactly..it keeps the topic up towards the top of the new post screen..

Usually when somebody has posted a question that hasn't been answered or want to bring people's attention to an upcoming event or similar... don't overuse it.
