Does anyone fish in lake Allatoona? They call it the dead sea on the internet... I've tried nearly everything -- have a few good days here-n there with the spotted bass and crappie... just thought i'd see if any fisherman lurk the board :wavey: check out this pic of a big fat crappie we caught yesterday (that's not me)!
never fished on allatoona, used to do some wakeboarding there a few times a summer. we do a good bit of fishing on hartwell, and its finally striper season! crappie are my favorite for cooking
Is that a freakin' crappy?!?!? holy shit! funny thing is, i/we do all the advertising for Shimano's fishing division, but never get out to fish myself. we "bucket" fish a lot to photograph "bent rods". No really. who needs a fish on a line to show a bent rod? that never gets old....bent rod :keke: this is a photo i took the other day at lake lanier of a baitcaster reel.
I specialized in BAss fishing in neighbourhood ponds where no power boat can get to. Its a large mouth Bass. I will post my weapon of choice and you will be amzed what Wal Mart has that can land a lunker like that. Besides I spend all my money on car parts so dont expect an $15k boat and $2k fishing gear. I only catch and release so Its still back on the lake. Its in Gwinettt County
i have access to a farm pond a few mins away that is loaddddded with bass, im talking every time we go, we just catch till it gets boring, and all 2-3 lb large mouths, but there are some big boys, two weeks ago my friend who lives there caught an 8 1/2 lb large mouth. that is huuuuuuge, there are also tons of crappie and a few small mouths
I don't know if any of you guys are into camping but I want to do a camping/fishing trip up to buford dam what's a fish say when it hits a wall? wait for it..... DAM! my professors 5 year old daughter used to tell that joke lol
well i'm going fishing again this weekend.. one of these days i'm going to hook into a huge stripper (oh i can't wait) -- and it will prob break the line
I have been fishing since I was 11 or 12 and there is a nice lake with some 2-3 pound largemouth bass along with crappie and shellcracker and bluegill. I will also post a pic of a nice 5-6 pounder I caught in Orlando on Christmas day. Mark
