Cam compatibility question

    Hi Everyone.

    Question: Will the following combination work?

    Engine/heads/ecu/sensors- 02 EJ205
    Cam Sprocket- 08 WRX
    Cam Shaft- 04 STI (with plugged avcs)


    Ive been piecing together some swap stuff and I need some help getting this right. I know the 04 camshafts will work in the 02 heads, but Im unsure as to whether or not the 08 wrx cam gears will work with the 02 wrx electronics and what not.

    Any advice or input? Thanks

    No you need to use the ej205 cam gears, they have the pickups for the cam signal built into them.
