I know, I know.... I need a motor first. but i am also looking at suspension now as that will be the next thing to get replaced. heres my question (which may have been answered before): STRICTLY FOR THE REAR (plan to do camber plates up front) Are camber bolts worth the hassle? i have heard and seen these fail/slip/come loose on many cars. or should i just invest in rear camber plates? or perhaps the adjustable lateral links? or maybe some combination of all of the above? From what i've seen camber bolts offer ~-2.0 to +2.0 degrees of adjustability whereas the lateral links only offer ~-1.5 to +1.5 degrees, and i havent really seen the rear plates, but i assume they are 2.0 or more. BTW i will be definitely doing coilovers of some sort, and this will be a daily driven car that will have an "aggresive daily driven" setup for spirted drives, mountain runs, etc. I will NEVER track this car, so i dont need top have multiple setups dialed in or anything. just want to know i have the control, capabilities there. and not sure if it matters, but i HAVE to have SOME sort of adjustability because i am going to use 02+ WRX coilovers for the added safety/strength of a 3rd upper mounting bolt and simply because coilovers are way easier to find for those years. anyways, any input appreciated. I will also eventually have sways, bushings, etc. just in the info gathering stage thanks, -Jake
I think you should put the cheapest stuff on there and save your money... Moving back up to Atlanta, or at least out of my parents, would be my number one goal
I had lateral links and they were great not only for adjusting camber but also the added stiffness of the bushings. I could feel it on the first test drive. The guys at GTE loved them too
if the air force thing works out (no reason it shouldn't, just pushing paperwork thru) then i will be gone in 4-5 months anyways, and after basic and job training hopefully will be in europe....
yeah King has the whiteline ones, and they are BEEFY. i loved the way they looked and how easy it looked to adjust them. but i am not sure if its better to have more camber (with the bolts) or something sturdier or a combination. i am seriously leaning towards the lateral links tho.
