When the Whiteline R&D manager was here last night doing his presentation, he brought that very issue up. He told us that the majority of the failures that surfaced were due to installation error. He explained exactly how the installations were messed up and how the mess ups caused the failures. To further prove his point, he installed the old version of all the 'failure' bushings on his personal car and has been driving around with them without issues for years.
Wasn't going to say anymore in your thread.. but since you seem to be implying that I am incapable of installing them right here I go. These are a few pictures of the failures I had with their bushings. One can clearly see that the design of the bushing was sub par, and that the middle insert broke free. Also the type and stiffness of the rubber used was not correct. Plain and simple they didn't do enough R&D, instead just released a product. Further more here is the email I got about my broken bushings from Whiteline USA. "Hi Doug, Hope all is well with you. I am back in action and want to move on this bushing failure. Tried calling yesterday....you were not available....today I got your fax machine.....so I thought I would shoot you an e-mail....and you could call me at your convenience. As I researched this product...I found that WL made a durameter change on poly bush last April....and was under impression all stock was swapped for updated product, unfortunately a couple kits including the one you received...slipped through. Secondly...WL has updated instructions regarding vehicles with alloy arms...like yours. Their contention is when removing OE bush....very exacting care and precise size press tool must be used to ensure none of the alloy in arm was scraped/shaved out, which would ultimately result in a less than interference press fit with new bush, which would eventually allow bush to walk out. But between me and you.... I am not convinced...and definitely do not recommend trying these again on your race car until considerably more R&D work is done down under. Best Regards.... "
It's clear that bushing didn't 'walk' out. It flat out tore and ripped apart due to insufficient material for the job. Whitelines Sways are some awesome stuff though!
Seems like you take things a bit too personally. Calm down killer I just thought it was interesting that it was brought up as a main point during his presentation. Your situation slipped my mind. I actually think the bushings you had issue with are not the ones he was talking about.
People act so childish on this site, I take that back... I guess that goes for most internet car forums.
