Well after being at the best Subaru shop in town for a week they cant find a problem. check vacuum lines, turbo, wastegate and a few other things that they thought may be it and came back with nothing. they Suggested taking it to Subaru for an ECU reflash. Anyone have any other ideas. Problem is the car will only do 7lb of boost, besides that everything seems fine. btw they said with the vacuum line disconnected the turbo would boost without a problem.

Just out of curosity, what is the best Subaru shop in town?

Seems the first thing to come to mind would be a leak or boost control soleniod.

Did the almighty Scott Siegel at topspeed look at it? If you are willing to have some more work done, I would recommend him and a diagnosis / tune.

The shop isn’t a great Subaru specialty shop but they were a Subaru dealership for a long time and they still do a lot of high end import work and they are honest. They told me they checked the boost control solenoid and checked for leaks but they could not find any. My only problem with Topspeed is it’s a 2+ hour drive for me just to fix my stock car, if I was getting a new turbo and tune I would be more willing. I’m undecided if I want to make that trip and drop more money into it yet. I don’t really want a new car ATM and I like my wagon I just really don’t have the money for troubleshooting with no resolution.

where is this dealership? cause some of them lost theor rights to be a subaru dealership, my best suggestion is either get it up to Subaru of Gwinnett or Scott Seigal. Outside of that i really cant help you anymore be the guru of subaru and finding problems is no longer with subaru.
