Is it BB's efficiency or something else?

I wouldn't say the bb is efficient...don't dare ever re-boot!!

Does it have to do with the fact that droid and iphone use their own browsers? I know BB just uses standard mobile sites, which require less data usage than loading a fool page...just a thought

with their recent purchase of webkit, that's sure to change.

Edit, they didn't purchase webkit directly, they purchased Torch Mobile, that uses webkit's IRIS browser

It could be the browser, but I think it is also the fact that so many apps for those OS's have immediate internet access versus the BB style apps.

I do not think it is so much a question of efficiency, but rather a question of intention or context. The intended use of the majority of BB devices is far far different than the android or apple ones.

I think it's a ploy from RIM to try to get people to buy BB's since they are now 'scared' of losing their market share by faster, more convenient devices...
