I have an 02 wrx and when i lock it, it doesn't honk.. like all others do. The horn works, if the door is open when locked it will honk twice, alarm works.. could it be bad wiring? a fuse? i have no idea. just wondering

In regards to the keyless locking, if the 02's are anything like the 08's it can be disabled and enabled through some way. In the 08's it involves inserting the key like 10 times in 20 seconds then starting the car.

    TRY THIS: (found on www.scoobymods.com)

yeah. turns out you hold down the unlock button til it honks. I thought it may have been in valet mode where you hold down unlock while you open the door then wait for the lights to blink or something but nope. Stephen (not king) fixed it at SoK
