Ok here is the problem:- 02 wrx when ever i drive the car is kool.. but when it's raining, and i'm driving on highway for some reason my car's check light come on.. and after the night and the car cools down the next day the light goes off.. whats causing this? it only happens if it's raining... and everyday eles it doesn't ever show check light on.. hnoes: tell me what it is
I had a similar experience but with different mods. Id prolly say, in your case, to ditch the AEM intake. The inside diameter of the pipe at the Mass Air Flow sensor differs from the factory intake. Though this can be compensated for with tuning, short ram intakes are still hot air intakes and I would get rid of it for a true CAI.
Have you pulled the code. You should be able to pull the history so even if the code is not there at present they can tell you the last code you threw. Also, I agree with everyone else, try removing the Intake. The AEM is not the same diameter piping as the stocker, and can cause some major issues with the MAF Sensor.
hey shady....if you ever need to pull the code give me a call....if I'm in the area I'll swing over and read it for you, might be able to narrow down the possibilities.
yeah aem and blitz intakes are a diff diameter according to cobb and are too turbulent. i had a similar problem before with an intake. if you want a larger diameter use a different intake and a maf hose after the sensor.
thanks all and i will take you for the offer scott but i dont work that place right now.. i'm too far from sugarloaf btw i'm planing to get a CAI but i want to know do they already come with that thing to stop rain and stuff cause i wanna know which CAI is best.. plz rec'mend

The intake comes finished in red from APS... you can get it powder coated after you get it if you would like I will PM you the price in one sec...
The filter is still a safe distance from the ground, no need to worry about rain. Ive had mine for over a year with no problems.
No wonder the check engine light comes on the way you drive your car Shady :ddirty: lol, j/k Didn't I tell you that you're gonna blow your engine soon!! hahaha If you want a CAI, don't buy that expensive thing from them. I'll sell you mine, cheap
