I just got me the fastest laptop ever... and i wanna know how i can connect my lap top to my car and get the boost ratings, vac, air/fuel ratio, etc etc... it will be connected thru t-mobile hot spot card while still having wi-fi around other places... and is there any software to tune the car with a PC.. i heed ur help.. ty :wavey:
-you can use the cable from an accessport to run a number of dataloggers, deltadash, digimoto lite and tari are the 3 i know. -as for the wi-fi stuff there's a program called warrider you can use to pick out wifi spots while you're moving around. mp3car.com is a good resource for any problem you might ever encounter with this stuff, their archive is immense -tuning software, you're looking at Cobb StreetTuner for 300 bucks, but why the hell do that when you have 2 top notch Protuners in a 20 min driving distance.
Just make sure you really know what you're doing, this stuff can completely ruin your ECU and/or car. I would not recommend messing with any type of tuning and flashing beyond the AccessPort unless you're willing to take the time and really learn what makes things tick.
I'd prob. just stick to a datalogging software, something that you cannot impact your ECU with (no flashing software). I cant remember the site that was selling the obdII to USB cable off the top of my head.
I certainly wouldn't mind just being able to see everything like a tuner sees it. Actually I can't think of a better way to familiarize with that stuff.
i would get it but it's sold now.. btw i was checking out the dataloggers and i think i will stick with thos and in case i will get the street tuner package after i do some research on it a little more... btw i know we got 2 great pro tuners but somehow i wanna learn this stuff how it works and shyt and get more closer to my car.
