My car finally got the dents popped out from the hail damage! It looks pretty good, but now the car is super dirty with handprints and dust and stuff. Last time I waxed my car, I did it by hand, but do you guys use an electric buffer or wax by hand?

Does Pep Boys sell clay bar? And is it worth it to use a clay bar on my car?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I do it by hand... and the clay bar rocks if you have some dirt/crap on the surface. Pep Boys should have it.

Allways by hand, And I used a newer wax from Eagle One called "Nanowax" this last time and Love it!!!! That was the best my car ever looked and it seems to be lasting longer too...

    Gotta love the Nano-technology.....

I used the nano-wax... but man, it was a B!TCH to buff out... will stick to Meguiar's from now on.

I've got a cheapass Turtlewax random orbital buffer that I use to apply wax. It isnt fast enough to remove it and buff the wax so I just do that by hand.

I do a coat of Meguir's show car polish #7 on each body panel, one at a time. Then I do a coat of NXT. I want to get a claybar and fool around with that over the summer.

After trying a lot of different wax I have to say that mother is one of the best hands down. I was not impressed with meguires (sp?) at all.

Mothers and Meguires are the best. Actually, NuFinish is not bad either if you want to go with the cheap stuff, and it buffs of real easy

I washed my car, then used a clay bar and then put a coat of wax. It took about 3 hours. I took some pictures that I am in the process of uploading. The car looks good! (If I do say so myself)

The pictures don't do justice to what the car really looks like. ugh....

The stock rims have to go.
