fuckin amazing movie. Probably my favorite bond movie :). I think I liked this more than the others because the plot was thicker, meaning its not just action action action.

I'm deifnitely looking forward to the new one.

My opinion has always been Sean Connery > Pierce Brosnan > Timothy Dalton > Roger Moore (this little mathematical equation isn't counting the randoms like George Lazenby).

I'm hoping that Daniel Craig will fit nicely between Sean and Pierce.

I'm not too sure I like the plot, even though I admit I havn't seen it yet.

I just wish they would admit that all those actors aren't the same guy and make a movie that says here, this is the new 007. He hasn't been young for 35 years or whatever he's just the newest one.

I agree Blutwo, they should treat 007 as a code name for a position and say it's the newest guy to fill it.

I'm with KNH on the rankings of Bonds. My old roommate and I would always argue who was top, Roger or Sean. But I think Sean was better. I think Dalton got it cause everyone else was sick that year. :p

  9. I liked this movie, better lot and less insane gadgets.

While the movies changed actors, you have to remember that not all movies are based on Ian Flemings books.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Fleming#James_Bond_novels

This is the reason they have not made 007 a code name and introduced the new actors as "This is the new 007. The other guy got killed." The books sorta made it so they had to just replace the actor as they got too old or no longer wanted to do it.

I am glad to hear this one is good. It seems they have plans for another movie in 2008 with the same actor.

See I always thought Moore was a cheeseball. I felt Brosnan, Connery, and yes even Dalton just acted way more like a suave secret agent should. Moore wasn't cold enough. Haha I dunno, maybe he just looks goofy to me.

Oh and I guess while I'm voicing my Bond opinions, Die Another Day sucked donkey balls. I hope I'm not the only person who thinks that. It was the least memorable Bond movie for me.

Sorry, I have always found Moore to be sooo, er, '70s. His Bond really does not have depth for me.

I must disagree. I cannot think of a movie less rewarding than Moonraker. There are a lot of midnight-play-only B-movies that I'd rather watch than Moonraker.

Haha yeah, but Moonraker was so ridiculous that it is definitely remembered, at least by me.

That plot was awesome and the action was just as good. What's not to like? Hot girls, hot cars, guns and cool gadgets?

The advertising for Ford and Sony was a little over the top though.

I think they should make a game out of the new movie. Those buildings and other areas would make really cool levels.

yea that girl is hot as hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. It was funny when i told me friend to notice how many fords were in the movie. The only exceptions were like a BMW, Mercedes, and a Maybach. Rest were all Ford owned.

What is the Bond car in this one? Aston Martin (Ford owned) again?

  25. jayj713

Aston Martin DBS, this movie didnt focus too much on the cars though.

did i catch a small glimple of a aston DB5 in the preview?

Yeah there was a DB5 and a DBS unless I'm completely off. Both were really nice but all you got was about two seconds of some spirited driving of each of them.

The DBS's run was the most disappointing IMO because of how it ended.

Being a little older then most of the people on this board, James Bond, to me, is Roger Moore. While I think Connery was closer to the Ian Fleming Bond, Moore certainly took the franchise and made it his own during the 70's and 80's. A little cheese was part of the fun of the movies. Anyways, probably a minority opinion, but its what I grew up with. Connery is also the "Bond Snob" pick. Hard to argue against him though....

Roger Moore I always thought was super smooth but Connery was the pimp...

Saw it over the weekend. Mixed emotions. I think that the new Bond is a breath of fresh air. Closest thing to Steve McQueen I've ever seen (of course, Steve is the standard). The story confused me, but I am getting old....

I am a huge Bond fan and I have to say that I thought this movie sucked ass.

Everything that makes a Bond movie was missing.
