CEL's And Troubleshooting.

  1. Yesterday while sitting idle my cel came on. I pulled out my good ol' Cobb and three codes appeared:

I reset the ECU and they go away and the car drives fine. When I got home and let it sit and idle for about a minute or two they came back on.

I tried a few troubleshooting, I opened the oil filler to see if any smoke...zero. There were no oil leaks under the car. No smoke, but a rough idle (could be do to the bc 280's:naughty:). I check hoses to see if there were any leaks and i found a broken vac line. I replaced it. I'm not sure what it affects but it connects to the stock boost controller so i know at minmum boost would be affected (but it wasn't boosted 21lbs):

I replace the line and reset ecu. The codes came back after sitting idle for 2 minutes.

    Code IDs:

    p0301-cyl 1 misfire
    P0303-cyl 3 misfire
    PFFFE-? not sure

    Any ideas?

well, they are misfire codes. you can start by changing spark plugs.

My car misfires religiously for just 1 sec upon crank up, i have codes for all 4 cylinders lol. I have a hybrid setup, and i troublshooted every possible cause, dang thing just wont' give go away. It just happens once upon crank up and not after. You might have to live with it too.

With the hybrid motors they actually make a part now to adjust the cam timing to bring it back in line. It just came out a month or so ago.

Pressure test for more leaks and check spark plugs/coil packs.

How long have you had the swap? Is this just a recent problem?

  10. Since Wednesday. I'm thinking spark plugs/coils.

Most likely, or like Sparta said, a leak of some sort is possible as well, dirty maf, etc.
