i know that my clutch is worn out, but is it already time to replace things (99k miles)? when i step on it, it makes a clicking noise, and when i`m starting from a dead stop, the car vibrates a lot... it's starting to do it in second gear slowly.. what do i need to replace?:eek3:

    clutch shudder yay!

my 02 has had clutch shudder occasionally (especially when it starts to get cold out) since I bought it with 27k miles. doesnt mean your clutch is worn out...is it starting to slip at all?

When you starting out and engaging the clutch, I think its called clutch deflection. You are at the correct mileage for the clutch to go, especially since you are running more power than stock. Replace the clutch and clean the flywheel or replace that also.

Pressure plate or clutch springs can be worn out. Not to mention the throwout bearing could be bad.

i dont think it's slipping yet, but it just feels like crap and makes me look like i cant drive my car properly haha. what is the reason that this happens?

If you buy an exedy clutch, it will come with pressure plate, clutch disc, pilot bearing, and throw-out bearing. It should also include an alignment tool, which is everything you need to do a clutch install. I would also suggest some brake cleaner in order to clean the flywheel off. The flywheel should have a clean surface, because the dirt can make the clutch slip when you replace it. I wrote a DIY on this install. I have pictures that can be sent and there is also the service manual in the DIY sticky.

If you send it to a shop, most places charge between 800-1200, and I don't think that includes the actually clutch, but just labor.

yeah i replaced my clutch at 74000 miles.

the clicking your describing sounds like my broken front differential did. i never had ANY clicking when my clutch went bad, just starting slipping when i got on it. better hope its not a front diff.

Wow, bad dealership and crappy previous owner. That is really early to have a clutch go.

1st, the clicking could be the throw out bearing.
2nd if you are looking for a clutch I have a lightly used exedy clutch and lightweight flywheel > 5k miles that I am trying to sell as a pair. (Removed and inspected by Opie at Mastero Subaru)
