    Hello All

Just a quick observation, I don't know if it's relevant. I noticed if I drive my car while it's still warming up with the egine idle at a slightly higer RPM first gear is alot smoother. Anyone know if maybe the inherene first gear synchro issue could be fixed by slightly bumping idle rpm a bit. I noticed this during warm up idle rpm or when the baro pressure and ambient air temp are condusive for the engine to run strong that first gear shifts are allot smoother as apposed to when it's hot and the engine is bogging a little or in need of a tune.

I dont really consider it a problem, Ive yet to be in a subaru that does enjoy first gear.

Yea I am getting used to it. On hot days when the engines lugging it can be a bit of annoyance but than again my car is stock with no mods it is more pronounced since the first 3000 rpms (non boost) are pretty low reving and very weak in the 2.0.

  4. I was able to put it in 1st gear in 25mph roll the other day haha. I wasn't trying to downshift or anything but I keep hearing people revving up the rpm and downshifting to 1st gear... so I had to try haha

rev up to around 4-5k and try putting it in first gear... it'll go in ;)
