Okay I have a 2004 WRX. From what I know and from sources that should know, you can plug in a 2003 WRX ECU and it will work in stock form with no issues. Therefore if I buy a 2003 WRX 5 sp ECU and swap it in my car, will a APv2 for the 2003 work without issue?
Wirelessly posted (From Your Mom's House) sorry, but...why do you want to do this? Give Jake a few minutes, I'm sure he'll find the answer and chime in.
Can you read the title? But to answer your question I need this to get tuned. Getting rid of the Ecutek.
Just because you put in the title to only reply if you know for sure doesn't mean we have to listen to your request. With that said, from what I can tell from the Cobb Website, I would think if you have an AP for an 02-03 WRX and you swap an 03 WRX ECU into your 04, the ECU will not know any better and will still be an 03 ECU with a matching 03 AP. Good luck if you try this.
Ecutek locks the ECU down. So in order for me to get tuned I need to get another ECU and also the corresponding Cobb.
yeah i dont know. i only know what you said about ecutek to be tru. and also ecutek gives you 2 maps on bugeye ecu's (ONLY) but alas, i know nothing about cobb compatibility
The V2's are only separated into DBC, DBW, and CAN ('07+ Spec B, '08+ All). So any DBC AP V2 will work. Siegel
