Posted the same thing at Legacy Forums, but no one has answered so here it goes I recently left my car outside in the freezeing weather and water and stuff froze it over, thus i let it time to defrost and heat up a bit. When i got to the first stop, i left it in gear and waited, but when i was going, the car just stalled. And i tried 3 times, but each time i revved higher because i seriously was thinking i wasn't giving it enough gas. I knew i was in gear (or somewhat) because i would stall. Eventually i just took it out of gear and put it back in, and it worked. But now my car smells like really burnt clutch and the smell isn't really going away. (Prob resulted of me not thinking of takeing it out of gear and back in due to the all-night party). Question is, did the gear just slip out a bit without me noticeing...? And i prob did horrible damage to the clutch (though its a few month old) and the smell is still sorta there....
yea if you burned your clutch the smell lingers for while..sounds strange..id see if the problems happens again and if so id take it to get it looked at
Sounds like my car when my MAF was gunked up. trying PMing MrCoffeeATL. He's got a Leg GT up in Illinois or something, I'm sure if those cars acted funny in the cold he'd know.
i killed my stock clutch like that.. boi it wasn't cold but i rev'ed it so much racing with people my rpm went over 6 when i started racing and bam in less then 6 month i messed up my clutch and paid abt 1600 dollers to get a sti clutch installed and changed my flywheel and every part of the combining clutch... sucks for me..
