SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- George Carlin, the dean of counterculture comedians whose biting insights on life and language were immortalized in his "Seven Words You Can Never Say On TV" routine, died of heart failure Sunday. He was 71. Full Story Here RIP Carlin!! One of if not the funniest and most honest ones around!
I always wanted to see him live. I knew last year when he came to Atlanta that I missed a big chance to see him. RIP George, we all will miss you. This is the first celebrity to die and me actually give a damn. I am seriously down now.
He was a truly great comedian. "My epitaph should say: He was here a minute ago. Where did he go to? He was just here." [George Carlin]
I had the privelage of seeing him a number of years ago in Florida. That is one funny f*cker. Coincidentally I just saw a DVD boxset of George Carlin at Best Buy yesterday. Damn...
I saw him at the Fox with my wife back in 2004, and he was as sharp as ever. His books are well worth reading too.
Yeah, I have been meaning to pick up more of his albums and books. Now I will start collecting them for sure. I will have to find that boxset too.
One of the funniest things he ever did was play "Mister Conductor" on that Thomas the tank engine show.
mr conducter ftw!!! I was wondering if I was the only one to remember that haha..rip carlin..youll be missed!!!
for you ppl with xm they will be playing him all day wed. on comedy 150 I believe you can listen online also.
