Okay I have the EWG installed in my car. We did a test run and HOLY COW boost batman! I nearly crapped myself when the boost ramped so fast that it hit 30 psi in less than .0000000001 seconds. Needless to say the car didn't like that too much and obviously I have the lines hooked up wrong. Right now I'm running spring pressure (16psi) by running a line from the turbo to the bottom nipple on the EWG. My Perrin EBCS looks like this The EWG has a top nipple and a side/bottom nipple. What lines go where? From what I've read I think it should be this... Port 1: goes to the top of the wastegate Port 2: this hose gets t-ed off between the turbo and the nipple on the side of the wastegate. Port 3: routes back into the turbo inlet or doesn't get used at all I'm not 100% sure and I want to make DARN sure. Doug or SS can you confirm the routing for me before I blow up my car?
port 3 goes to the boost source and port 1 goes to the side of the wastegate. Leave the top on the wastegate disconnected.
Thanks Doug and Will. Wierd thing is it never hit boost cut? Is boost cut only for sustained boost and not a fast spike?
Ah I see. That's why my drag setup never threw a CEL. It would spike to 28 psi and fall back to it's regular settings.
Hey Doug would I benefit from running a 4 port EBCS? I pulled my Perrin EBCS and the rubber seal on top of it is dry rotted and has a pin hole leak. I need to replace this so will the 4 port EBCS work better?
