So we made a decision that she will be a race car, but I want to have it registered and street leagal ie pass emissions...may want to do one lap sometime in the future, spare when I want to take down the bugeye, etc...

Some topics I would like input on:
    • engine management - considering it needs to pass emissions is open source the best option for its ability to fool the emission testers?
    • loose the heat/ac and reverse the intake manifold, what about the throttle connections and whatever else doesnt come to mind...fabrication?
    • SHEDDING WEIGHT, for those who have helped strip what more can we loose? What MUST stay?
    • Beneficial bushings - what are good options to do while the car is in pieces, if it isn't worth it speak up. ones that come to mind, rear diff, tranny cross member bushings, any others I cant think of.
I am sure I will think of more but lets start here.

please do. a compiled list of mandatory swap parts, as well as recommended upgrades when GC swapping would be great.

Matt if you are not busy Sunday we are going to have another session.

Since we are stripping it still (not much left I should add) I guess shedding weight is first priority followed by recommended goodies that would suck installing while bolted in the car, bushings for instance.

    back on topic...
Since we will probably start putting her back together soon I am looking at bushings. Which of the following bushings are worthless if any at all. I can get all for a deal so I don't mind if they are worth it.

    Lower Rear trailing arm bushings
Rear Subframe Outrigger Bushings - race
    Rear diff bushings - race
    Klunk Killer - race
    tranny crossmember bushings
    Front control arm bushings
Steering rack bushings - I know these are good!

What other bushings am I missing?

Group N Engine mounts or Cusco engine mounts?

I would do every single bushing while it was apart. Get a set of rear control arms so you can really dial in the camber.

King has a set of the whiteline lateral links on his car. they are the BEEF-NASTY. like 3 times as thick as stock and completely adjustable.

    definitely recommend those
