heres the instructions via scoobymods.com . it doesnt look to be that hard. looks like the hardest part is the loosining & tighting of the bolt on the pulley. i just dont have any tools so thats why im waiting. i dont know if you were comming to the headlight bake on the 21st but if you wanna wait we can do them side by side.:bigthumb:

you will have to use an air ratchet to break the nut loose..thats what i had to do when i did my pulleys

i was talkin to Genya and he told me theyve done it with a torque bar and home made extention. lol. i dont think a impact will fit back there without removing the radiator. will it? and i knoticed that you said pulleys. do you have the AEM pully kit also? i was looking into that but didnt know if that would make the belt size some wierd size they dont make. or are the aem pulleys just leightened?

I was told subaru uses the crank pulley to balance the crank assembly. Is anyone concerned they will through the crank too far off balance?

seems to be a popular missconseption. i called subaru usa and asked there customer service about harmonic balance and they told me the crank pulley doesnt do this on our cars like it does on many others. also heres an artical on this subject from nasioc. your question is like the 4th one down.

    crank pulley

thanks to Weapon for showing me the thread i mentioned above.:bigthumb:

yeah, i won't be there the 21st, i'll be in NYC. plus, i haven't bought the pulley yet, it's just onn the horizon and was wonering if anyone had done it. I guess you guys can just lend me your knowledge from experience when i get mine.

from my past experiences with underdriven pulley kits, i will never use them again. the only pulley i`m replacing on the RS is the crank pulley but i`m using the perrin lightweight pulley.

Thanks for that link. I might just have to install my pulley now. :bigthumb: The only parts I have left to put in are the pulley and the SS brake lines.

i used the same pipe the other day. jason helped me with mine too. pulley is installed and i love it. the stock pulley is like 25+ pounds. the one i put on was like 1 pound. instant difference in performance.
