Creaking

    Ok My car has sum brad new coilovers now!!! YAAAA! Which got rid of the strut clunk. Now I have to get rid of the creaking in my trunk! dont know if it from the sti wing the trunk spings or what but need this gone! Anyone else creaking out there or know how to fix???????????

    It could be anything. A clunk varies from car to car. It could be the wing on one car and the springs on another.

    Have someone ride in your trunk as you drive very fast and turn very sharp. Maybe they can find it... :coolugh:



    Just Kidding. Don't do that.

    Ill see who i can throw in there. Sounds like the trunk springs!! Think they might need some grease!!! Any grease suggestions??

    creaking is probably chassis flex from running a higher spring rate. Guess what the laws of physics decided to do with the extra velocity and energy? Your chasis is now acting as a spring.

    best way to deal with the creaks and clunks is to park the car in the driveway. ;)

    My brand new stock STi make these noises as well

    Also if you want I'm sure wagon_pwn will climb in the trunk for you :rofl:

    hahaha Alex, that's a good one. Or you could get a nice loud sound system in the car and drown out the creaking.

    But honestly my car makes these noises too and it bugs me when i'm cruising on the highway and want to talk but can't with the noises all around me.

    Lol! Dam subaru! My evo makes no noise! Its quite enjoyable! Lol it make these noises even while I was on the stock setup. Hmmmm I know a few peopl that are in the closet, but in the trunk now that's a new 1!lmao!
