What tires are people getting for Auto-X these days?
Specifically 225 width for STS class?

    Will recommends Hankook Ventus
Are there others that are cheaper but still good or at least better than stock?

    225/45/16 Kooks from tires-easy.com is $94.40.

Same size, Falken FK451 is $89.80.

Both tires work best when shaved down to 3/32 or so....however, the kook works better than the FK451 until they get down to that depth. Then they are very close in times from what I have seen.

From edgeracing.com: $93 each for the kooks.

I am getting some 16x7 Rs wheels later this week, and I want some tires for the Subaru Challenge. Are there any other tires (besides the ones mentioned above) that I should look at? I know the RE-01r's are good and all, but they don't come in 16".
