Ok have had this thing sitting around my garage for over a month and want to get it mounted. The problem is that all I have is the RSB. No bushings or brackets. Where can i get the stuff I need to get it mounted? I plan on using the stock end links for now.
You may be able to reuse the stock bushings, otherwise I am sure you could just find some from TiC or Whiteline. You just need some ramps, b/c you want to do the job while the suspension is under load.
What about one of these? Should I get greesable ones or not? I hope to go and get some today so I can have them for this weekend. http://store.summitracing.com/egnse...94841743+4294891681+4294812166+115+4294805997
greasable ones are nice, because you don't have to pull the mounts off to regrease the rubber. I believe you can use the stock mounts, and I'd use the stock endlinks until you break them. +1 for doing it while the suspension's loaded.
Is the Saturday install day at your place still on? I remember seeing someone needed a UP installed in a previous post.
I will be there as long as my Friday migration ends before 2am. I am going to swap out plugs and the RSB. I think those plugs I put in are causing problems. I remember the gap was quite big. What time are you guys starting?
On the ones with the plastic rear endlinks...I'd just go ahead and replace them. They will break eventually. Go with the Whiteline endlinks. The STi and Forester sealed pillowball links are the best avalible...but will not fit on a non-STi/non-Forester that was equipped so from the factory. You can also reuse the stock bushings as long as they will fit over the bar.
Thanks for the info Will. I will have to keep an eye out for some used end links cheep. For $15 I am going to have a buddy pick up some of the greaseable bushings from Summit for me tonight. Ped, it won't be 9, but it will be before lunch... You still have that STI axle back?
ZERO reason at all. Even if those break for whatever reason...replace with stock. The stock ones are inexpensive.
