I tried it on a hail dent on the trunk of the ///M3 and it worked. Heat super hot with hair dryer then spray compressed can air upside down. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=546_1292957153
i'll have to try it on the echo and based on how well that goes i'll do it on the Subaru. I have both things needed for this so why not.
used a propane torch and dry ice to smooth out the panels on the bug. Have to be careful with the contrast though as it will cause the paint to rise or bubble off the panel.
goes either way, if too hot will bubble up and if to cold to quick it will spider web. best to do a test panel first to figure out a technique. works great on door dings that aren't to deep.
Man, I've always read using dry ice works. Guessin you got to wear thick gloves for that but never tried that technique. Will have to try the hair dryer and compressed air.
you only do that on bare panels if you can get behind the panel it's amazing what you can do with two wooden spoons
i thought this was just some internet video, but it works just like uz said not on creases, i did it on my moms car and it poped out... crazy... anyone have there own videos? lol
