DIY request: Water temp. Gauge

Anyone have any idea how to do it?

 

I have done on other cars,not sure where you can get your signal/temp reading.Is it mechanical or electrical??(wire or flexible metal tube).Usu you would find an unused plugged off coolant boss and tap in there.or possibly add a dual fitting to one that is being used and get your temp. readings there.

 

I could figure it out.
But I'm not exactly known for my craftsmanship or careful proceedings.

 

There are a few companies that sell coolant hoses with a tap for a temp sensor...
