I am planning on installing my new downpipe in the next day or two. I am currently running COBB AP stg 1 with stock exhaust. I am not planning on doing the uppipe for another week or so. Can I install my new downpipe while remaining at stg1 ECU programming? Will it cause any boost issues?

    Thanks.

Not for sure on the boost issues... but.. might I suggest waiting a week and doing both at the same time? Unless your really crafty, you have to remove the DP to get to the uppipe. So, you'll be taking out your freshly installed DP, doing double work. I can understand your impatience, and if it were a long time before you were gonna do the UP it would be different.. but if your getting the up next week, wait...

i would wait and do them both at the same time since you have to take the downpipe off to get to the uppipe. you will be creating more work for yourself.

But to answer your question, you can install the downpipe and will be fine.

Cool thanks. I "plan" on doing the uppipe soon, but you never know. Should I run stage 1 or 2 with just a down...i have read on cobb that a downpipe is all that is needed.

I agree w/Weapon, do both at one time.

Also, make sure you get new gaskets.
Run stg1 until you've done your uppipe then upload the stg2 map (assuming you have an '04 or '05 wrx).
