hopefully this is the right section for this. A suby drift car!!! Yukes CUSCO/ADVAN Impreza (GDB) Nobushige Kumakubos rumored D1 vehicle finally made its debut. With the aid of Mr. Koyama from JUN Auto, this 550 horsepower orange beast came to life. Kumakubos initial perspective was the Fairlady Z, but ORC had beaten him to the punch. So the next best thing was to go with his favorite rally car, the Subaru Impreza. The only criteria Kumakubo had requested to JUN was for the Impreza to be an FR setup, exceeds 500 horses, and to make it fast. This was JUNs first attempt to construct a drift car, despite their involvement in the Japanese motor sport scene for many years. The Holinger transmission was transferred from his S15, and a GT-R driveshaft/differential was fabricated to take the beating that is in store for this machine. The front driveshaft was simply disengaged and a 2.5 liter motor from a Forester powers the whole rotating assembly in harmony. Another noticeable modification by JUN was the huge side air ducts for the rear mounted radiator. The 2nd round for Kuma and his Impreza was filled with high hopes but struggled to reveal its true characteristic because of the transmission trouble they faced. JUN components stuff the 2.5 liter engine internals along with a TD06SH-25G turbine for a more flatter torque curve than his previous vehicle. The intercooler and radiator were relocated to the rear to keep it from front end damage during those hard drifting collisions. The reasoning behind the enormous vents is for the air to be able to enter the engine more efficiently while sliding sideways.
