So I have the Group N tranny mount, but I feel there is too much lash in the drive-line

I would like to stiffen everything from the motor to the rear diff as far as it can go without being detrimental to the parts (i.e. if they "need" room to move). I know the 2007sti went back to the metal engine mounts.

This is by no means a high-tourque car, but i would like to dial in absolutely everything before i start thinking about power.

Does anyone know of some really good bushing/mount kits that I could get?

Group N engine mounts. The pitch stopper IMHO is unnecessary, but getting the kartboy one would 'help'...

Otherwise, the rear diff support bar and the rear diff mount bushings will help take some more slack out. However, this will largely increase the amount of noise/vibration/harshness that is transmitted into the cabin and the rest of the car. You'd basically have a race car like driving experience but with a full interior.

The 2004~2007 STi inherently has more drivetrain 'slack' than anything else I've ever driven from SUBARU. The 2004 is especially bad. All the 05~07 are better but they still have it and I get complaints about it all the time...sorry, nothing I can about it short from installing a 5MT and R160 rear diff.

Hey monk I have the rear diff mounts from TiC if you want to buy them. Only on the car for 3000 miles.
