Just thought I'd post this here. The BMWCCA club is hosting a two day Driving School at Road Atlanta the weekend of 10/8th & 9th. Registration just opened up this morning for the general public and I will tell you know, it will fill up by the end of the week, if not sooner. I just signed up and paid. If you guys want to make the best mod to your car, imporve your driving skills. And for those that have been to lil Talladega, this track is like 100x more fun to drive on. Hope to see a few other Suby's out there!

RA is not the best track for rockie road course guys. Leave that to tally(no walls to hit). But for those who have the balls to do it RA is very very fun track to race on.

    There is always one. :D

My first four track days were at Road Atlanta. Don't think for a minute that a rookie can't learn to navigate the track safely. The schools class the students in groups related to their skill level. The noobs get in car instruction and all get class time. Some novice classes get a pace car as well to keep you from going beyond you skill level.

There is no reason for anyone not to start at Road Atlanta except fear, which is actually a good thing. Without it and you tend to do stupid things and wreck. Fear is your friend.

Also Milo, best mod to make your car faster is making you a better driver. :D Not that you are a bad driver.

Hope some of you come out to play.

edit: I will add that out of the four driver schools I've attended at lil Tally, I've seen three cars get totalled there on three different ocassions. That doesn't include the few other cars that spun off track and in to a tree or a tire wall or concrete wall. It will happen at any track.

i STRONGLY agree... ive already done a track day at tally and i sucked real bad :D... so i know my skills require a lot of work... however, finances are another issue right now... im dropping a decent chunk on the new turbo + other stuff so i need to let the bank balance replenish a little bit

I would love to run on RA, but I don't have the funds. I agree with you Trey, best mod you can do is learn to drive, that is why I have done the Evo Driving School, Siegels School at Lil Tally, and a Novice Day for the SCCA Auto X. I really want to do RA, but can't afford it now. I think the next driving school I am going to do is going to be the Evo Phase II school, then after that hopefully RA. Thanks for posting this up though. Good info.

Maybe next year, spring time, we can all get together at RA. It's alot more fun when you have friends there to play with and share on track experiences.

    Start saving. :D

I would love to go to this, I've had nothing but great experiences with the local BMW CCA people. I've just sunk $200 into a track day at Roebling road with the Redline Club/Atlanta S2K Club. I'll definately go next time BMW CCA does this at RA. Is this an annual event for the BMW CCA?
