Does anyone have a list of all the good options of lowering springs and their drop heights... I would like to see what all is out there along but skipping all the crap stuff like ebay springs... Im wondering what the drops are on like cobb, prodive, tien s and h, swift, eibach... and any other spring that someone has they like... sorry if this has been done but i thought a good list of springs and their drops might help not only me but alot of people...
I only know of 2... Tanabe GF210 http://www.tanabe-usa.com/springs/gf210.asp Swift Spec R http://www.swiftsprings.com/advantage.html Never used either, but i have heard good things for the price. Alex knows a good bit about this stuff.
Could you post up a pic of how you stand, I was lowered and then i found my self to be to low. That is right around where i wanted to drop mine too..... FYI, never get perrin springs. 2.0/1.7 in
i have the prodrive blues on my wagon and i like them im just trying to get an idea cause i want to go lower but i dont know what the drops are on all the springs and what people think...
Im right here with you on the lowering springs questions man. But out all of those uve named and the things ive read i would have to go for Swifts. ...Im looking at Swifts, RCEs black/yellow, and Tanabe. And i just dont know which way to go....
the tanabe grip forces are very very stiff but only drop it about 1 inch they also have the drop forces which i have no experience with but they drop it around 1.5 inches the tiens drop it alot more but give a very crappy ride it's mostly u to the op with rather you want performance or looks
Here's the problem: Subarus do not respond very well when they are slammed which several of brands mentioned above do. You have to make a choice: Are you after style or are you after performance?
i know all this but i am specifically just looking to get ideas of the exact drops the springs give... i have learned from the site it is all about style or performance i just was wondering what the exact drop heights of all the springs mentioned were and thought it might help some others on here too
^^^ im currently trying to figure out the drop heights for most of the above mentioned springs too...im looking for a good decent drop but definitely an increase in performance too, with install of struts of course
Why don't u go to the aforementioned manufacturers websites and take a look at specs? There's such a wide spectrum of springs out there. There are a few of us that actually just run springs since full bodied coilovers have become so popular and relatively affordable, that we won't be able to show you eveything that's out there and availble. Maybe take a look in nasioc's members lounge for a really broad reprsentation
yerrow very true... but i figured it would be a good way to get info because as the manufactures give specs i would rather hear what people have to say that have had them... true there are numerous options out there but i would trust someone on here's opinion over a manufactures specs that is trying to make a sale... and yes most people are now running full bodied coilovers at one point and time people had to run springs... not all of us are blessed with being about to afford even cheap coilovers... I for one see no need for me to have all the need of adjustments... i do not track my car and do not really do mountain runs... i for one was looking for people to give their info on their springs and the drop heights they had and figured it would be good to have in one thread since it seems there is always someone asking about springs
