Dumb question?

    why is there a parking light hold switch on top of the steering column? :ugh:

    its there to turn on the parking lights...duh

    no sorry......the little button on top of the column...it leaves the parking lights on no matter what you do....NOT the nob on the side..

    yea i wondered that myself bc you can flip the switch on the thing and they are on that way too. Maybee its to do it with the car off?

    yeah if the car is off and that switch is engaged the lights stay on....just kinda wondering why they did that?...i'm not going into how i found that out

    It has to do with the way they park in countries over seas. Often they leave the parking lights on if they are parked on the side of the road.

    thanks dan.....see i'm not crazy....i knew there was a logical answer that might enlighten me...maybe even someone else learned something new out of it!!

    dont feel bad i was cleaning the inside of my car when it was new and switched it on and didnt know it was on. i came out that night and my parking lights were on. worse part is i didnt know what was wrong and had to take it to the dealer only to feel supper stupid when they got in and fliped it and they went off. :(

    nice :)

    Its more like a "please dont hit me" night light for your car when its parked in the street.
