    Hello All
As you may or may not know I recently swapped turbos injectors etc. I received a tune from SS to get it all together. I have noticed some subtle changes in power over the past couple of days not huge changes. They are mainly do to an up pipe leek. The EGT keeps backing itself out of the up pipe. It is getting some blue lock tight tonight after it cools. Scott told me to keep my eye on the Dynamic Advance should be at 12 . I hooked up my AP tonight and was only able to hit 9. As i was cruising home staying out of boost I noticed it was falling below 0 to -1.5 or -.5. I looked at the up pipe after arriving home and sure enough the EGT was backing it's way out. Not completely but noticeable. My question is would an up-pipe leak cause a fluctuation in DA or am I in bigger doodoo? I am also a little concerned about the gummi turbo inlet which was a real PITA. However this did hold up during the SS tune and based on a visual looks the same as far as being seated and no apparent holes.
    Thanks

making that EGT stay in is not fun. Most of the time I weld them in. I would try RED lock tite thats makde for high temps. If it ever goes bad, just install a resistor in the connector for the harness side and leave the egt itself dangling.

have you refueled recently? it is not uncommon to get some bad gas nowadays.

I would just put a bolt in place of the egt probe and have Scott turn off the EGT check engine light.

While the stock inlet is crap I doubt its the cause of your issue. If you want to come by I can do a quick pressure test to see if it is the cause.

I believe it is only going to read high during full boost so it dropping negative when coasting isn't suprising. Mine usually runs around 9-10 under full boost.

+1 i've gotten bad gas from all over the gwinnett area lately. funny how we're paying more than ever and getting a worse quality for it. awesome.:squint:

It should only read 9.5 or 10 max, not 12. It would be find to take the sensor our and put a bolt in it. Then do the 2.2k ohm resistor into the harness where the EGT lead comes out.

Summer gas is coming in with the summer blend of ethanol. The gas is designed to keep down emissions and is not the best thing for performance.

Ok soooo I was out on 400 doing more pulls (with the car thank you) and based on, what you stated Scott, I am right were I should be. My max boost was right below .15 on the boost gauge and at peak boost I was consistent 9.5 DA........As far as bad gas yup i had a bad tank "O" gas from none other than Chevron. Filled her up at Shell tonight and got out of the negatives. Sheeesh $3.65 for bad gas, I can get that cheaper at Walker Brothers after a Sunday morning hangover breakfast with a 6 egg omelet:eek:hnoes: and all the trimmings:naughty:Jet fuel babeee!
