Hey yall. Dunno where this is supposed to go or who to send this to (Milo, I'm guessing? Check PMs, please) but I just had a few concerns. I'm Val with the black Evo (yes, the one that says BYBYSTI on the back). :) Leaving the shop after Tray did, there were still quite a few of you hanging out smoking outside, which I don't think anyone had a problem with.

Coming back from shopping with my friend Jonna, I noticed two yellow subarus pulling onto McFarland. Not a big deal - we laughed about people hanging outside in the cold for so long. We get back to the shop to pick up her car, and there's trash all over the front entrance of the shop. Someone in yall's group went to Sonic's and decided to leave the remains of your lunch all over Topspeed's front door. Off the top of my head I saw two bags, two drinks, straw wrappers, napkins, and the remains of food.

I didn't mention it to Doug or anyone afterwards since I knew he, Tray and Zane were exhausted from dynoing and entertaining your group all day - but I was very, very, very upset. Is it that big a deal to take your trash with you, or to walk around and throw it in the huge and quite visible dumpster beside the shop? I know it was someone in the wrxatlanta group since the shop was clean when we left, and we saw subarus pulling out when we were heading back - and this was several hours after the dyno day ended.

Listen - I don't want names, and I'm not going to act like anyone's mom, but I really would like to make a request that whoever did it please note for future references that when a shop decides to hold a dyno day for no other reason than to help y'all out and entertain your group with free food and drinks - please at least have the respect to not trash the place after they're gone.

    Thanks :)

    Val

Wow this is very surprising if in fact it was anyone from our group, which it probably was if no one was there but us subie guys.:( We've held many g2g's and I've only seen but respectful people in our group. A very mature group. I wasn't there, but I do appologize on our behalf.:(

Admit it Shane, we all know it was you. :naughty:

That being said, Milo, Alex, Alex, and I were pretty much the last to leave and I did not notice any trash by the front doors. If we had, we most definitely would have picked it up. Doug was there when we left, he helped us get into someones car who left the keys in the ignition with the engine running. Once Doug got the door open we all left.

For any member (or guest) who has ever participated in a group get-to-gether, we are a respectable, mature and rather civil group. I went to the bathroom just before we left and I did no notice any trash at the front door. Had I seen any trash whatsoever, I would have collected it and disposed of it appropriately.

Roughly four or five cars arrived expecting to Dyno after you all left. Please be aware that Doug returned to the TopSpeed building to pick up a few items. In addition, Doug aided a WRXatlanta.com member. Prior to our leaving, Doug made no mention of such trash. Had this been a problem at the time, I am confident that any one of us would have gladly helped. It is entirely possible however that other cars arrived after our departure.

We would be most appreciative that you respect that the actions of a few do not reflect the thoughts and actions of the WRXatlanta.com online community in its entirety. It is imperative that sensitive issues of this nature be discussed privately.

We are locking this thread now. This discussion may continue privately. You guys have Alex’s and my cell phone number. Call us if you would like to discuss this further.
