I'm not 100% but I think the OEM RS stuff is pretty much the same as WRX stuff. Can't you just get an OEM WRX setup? Matt should know this one.

thats the case when there were WRX's and RS, so GD chassis only. I bought an exedy stage 1 clutch off ebay a few years back, it was more than sufficient to hold 300hp my old WRX currently has. and has close to 125k on it now

WRX clutch stuff won't work on the RS transmission. You need to get a clutch and flywheel that is specific to your transmission. Don't quote me on this, but I think the 02-05 WRX are a pull type transmission and the RS I know for a fact is a push type. You might be able to get away with running an 06+ WRX clutch, but I've had no experience with that.

The stock RS clutch also won't hold the power if you are swapped on a OEM replacement clutch. It will hold, but will probably start slipping once on boost. Most swapped RS guys run the ACTSB2-HDSS clutch. That clutch will be good to hold the power you need and if you plan on upgrading as well.

    Awesome, thanks for the info.

I may need to host a get together at my house sometime in november to tie up the loose ends of this swap and get it cranked for the 1st time.

HAHA, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm finishing up connecting everything and finding out if I did the wiring right LOL. Good luck!

Lol nice, I just did a full interior swap to avoid having to merge a million things. I've yet to test things, though. Where at in gwinnett are you, maybe can help each other out.

I'm in Lilburn. yea I was thinking about doing a dash swap, but my funds ran out. You wouldn't happen to have a 2 pin alternator laying around would you?

yes...as Toua stated, the RS transmission uses a different type clutch over the WRX. IIRC, even the 06+ wrx clutch is still pull versus push.

You will need the n/a impreza clutch setup for it to work.
