i installed my up and down pipes today and everything fit perfectly! great sound with my fireball exhaust, you can really feel the difference the first time you put your foot down. no leaks at all, went on and did both of the CEL fixes so i won't have to "fix" them later. it all was done by my good buddies at mahdavi motorsports
not yet...can't decide on which system i wanna get. utec, accessport, ecutec...so mnay choices. any suggestions?
i got utec and im real happy with it... i think jason (genya) has accessport and he likes it i got utec cuz knowledge has a lot of experience tuning utecs
I've got an old Unichip. It gets the job done but I'm planning on upgrading to a UTEC if I ever get a bigger turbo than my VF29
I like the accesport , soon you will want management. Next time if you want (not that many people do downpipe installs) I will be more than happy to do for a snack and a test ride ^_^. Beautiful wagon! Jason
the Cobb Access port, UTEC and ECUTEK are the best engine management options on the market in my opinion. which one you choose highly depends on what kind of power goals you want to achieve and what you use the car for (ex. daily driver, track car, autocross, all of the above). Each of these forms of engine management has its pros and cons but in the end who you find to tune it is the most important factor (except the accessport which comes with pre written maps) Feel free to pm me of email at sales@airbornemotorsports.com if you want me to go more in depth about the different engine management options and theyre strengths and weaknesses
u could download maps but performance would be sub-optimal... a tuner can prorgram the utec to optimize performance... usually at stage 1, tuning may not get u much gain but anything stage 2 and above will give u better gains if ur car is tuned right
