I am considering going wingless on the evo. What do you guys think?

I took pictures today with and without the wing on (comes off with 2 bolts and 2 nuts):

I am undecided. Part of me really likes the clean look, but the other part wonders if it looks too plain without the wing. What do you guys think?

    ehhh....
That's a hard choice. I like the Evo wing too.
I am very happy with my wingless lid though.
Almost looks a little frumpy w/o the wing.

yeah. the wing is on there now. When I look at the car by itself, I like it wingless... but when I park it next to the STi, it looks neutered.

    hehe, neutered....
Must be nice to be able to remove the wing with 2 bolts.
You should do some testing at the auto-x and see if you can feel any difference
    with it and w/o it.

Id say keep the wing. It looks like a regular lancer w/o the wing...

I really like the way the Evo wing has the carbon fiber center section. I say keep the wing.

Without it would look very clean but loses the racy character of the car. It does look neutered.

Without, it does look funny. How about another wing that's lower profile?

Personally I like it without the wing. It gives the car more of a sleeper look but it all boils down to whether you want your car to look like a sleeper I guess.

I think the wing really shows (aesthetically) the difference between $30k and $14k.

I also like both, but I'd prob go sleeper sans wing... I wish it was 2 bolts holding the Sti wing on

i like the wrx wingless cause of the sexy curves it reveals but with the EVO i say keep the wing...

    Nicely put.

the evo wing design is much more intergrated into the lines of the car than the STi or wrx wings are... the way the side fins and wing counterspace play off the trunk and rear light lines. i would definately keep it on, it really finishes the back end off quite nicely.

i say keep the wing on Brian. however, you could just take it off periodically since its only two bolts. wake up and see how you feel that morning.

Wing for sure........ From a non-Mitsu or Subi owner, the wing look great. (On the last mt ride, I was at the tail end and just watching the long line of cars..... and it looks like a bunch of F16's in formation..........very cool indeed!)

I only took the wing off for a couple of hours on Sunday to see what it looks like.

I am still undecided. I like the look of the wing, but it would be nice to get less attention from the car. I was in Florida, and old people kept on giving me dirty looks.

The wing doesn't weigh much at all, so weight isn't a concern.

In the short term, it is easier to just leave the wing on the car and not worry about fixing the issue of having the holes in the trunk lid.

I like it on, but it doesn't matter that technically the car is 50% mine. :)

I think it looks cool both ways, I just love dem Evo's.... I think that if I had to eventually choose, I would say stay with the wing.

    I like the wingless look
not so much because it looks better
I think the asthetic appeal of the wing on the evo and sti is great, but the fact that it will baffle people and make it less noticable on people's and cops radar is ^_^
