Well I got a real authentic JDM Bride seat for the WRX for free! It is used but not torn and in great shape. We dyed the outer blue portion black to match the WRX better. I'll post up some pics when I get it installed.

Eh honestly I don't know what model it is. One of the older ones I would guess. Came out of a 240 front clip.

Oh I will. Roebling road will see the WRX soon.

Only thing is....will I be able to make the stock brackets and sliders work at all?

Damn it just found out I can't use much less modify my stock brackets and sliders according to Nasioc. Hmmmmm fixed bracket may be fabricated for me.

Well got it in the car. Ended up making a 240SX bracket work and fit thanks to a little fabricating and welding done by myself.

This thing glues you to the seat. The only complaint I have is the cushion in the butt is worn down and flat so I need to figure out what to do with that. That JDM dude must've lived in that seat.

Nice, now go get the bride door inserts ;)

Where can you get those? I'm thinking the color is going to be hard to match as I haven't seen the green to gray gradient colors. I kept the passenger seat stock so I may just leave the door inserts stock.

I'd love to do that, but don't want to lose the airbags....

I wanted to get rid of my airbags. The ones in my old Honda came really close to killing me in the past. I hate them.

Did you get in a wreck where a sharp metal pole went through the back of your seat just missing your head, and then while you were stuck in the car waiting for the medics to use the jaws of like to pry open the door, the airbag went off, slamming the back of your head into the pole?

Ok, no really, I'm curious, what happened?

A lady cut me off one day and immediately slammed on brakes in front of me. I had past issues with an ex in which her now husband cut my brake lines and I had no brakes when I slammed on them. I rearended the lady at 60 mph. I had my seat belt on but when the airbag deployed it didn't work properly. The steering wheel cover is supposed to split. Mine didn't and the entire front peice flew off and slammed me in the face. Also that powder that is in it got all in my lungs and to this day I still have issues breathing. Doctor thinks I had some sort of permanent allergic reaction to it as I inhaled a ton of it. I was hacking up blue powder for 3 days.

Damn dude. Well I can definitely understand why you're not a fan. I've heard of people getting burned and sometimes going blind from them. I've only been in one wreck and it didn't involve airbags. It was pretty bad but I managed to come out almost unscathed. Then again, it was in a car made in 1968 whose body panels laugh at current cars.

Anyways, anything happen with the cut brakelines? I mean...wow. If this is getting too personal don't worry about answering, I'm just curious because I mean, that's an attack on your life.

I hired a private investigator who happened to be a good friend. Got evidence from the guy himself bragging about it to his friends who unawares to him were also my friends. Turns out he was responsible for emptying the rear diff fluid neatly on my old 450hp 1st gen Talon. That was the first thing and the rear diff overheated and locked up sending me into a ditch and I flipped the car 3 times. I didn't think of him being the culprit then. Then 2 months later this happend to my Honda. The mechanic that was repairing it noticed that the brake line had a clean cut to just outside of the inside diameter. Normal braking didn't burst it but slamming on it did. ANyways the investigator tricked the guy into admitting to it on tape. I pressed charges as well as the state (this wasn't only endangering my life but the general public as well). He spent Christmas of 2004 in jail. Got out on bail thanks to his RICH parents. We went to court and the judge basically threw it out. I found out later that something dirty was going on. Something along the lines of his parents paying someone to get him out of the mess. My attorney wanted to persue it but I was tired of the headaches and aggravation and not to mention it was conflicting my personal life. I decided to just let it go......well sorta
