So I am courious to find out what type of exhaust setup everyone has... I thought it would be nice to keep a running list. Sticky??? Myself: Turbo XS with 4 inch bellmouth 3 inch Turbo XS race and midpipe with a 2.5inch Stromung axel back. Post it up everybody!
prodrive round tip axleback with a 3inch midpipe... thinking about throwing my bosal axleback back on
^^^Hey it's Brandon from Batlground! Megan Racing Catback exhaust (Brandon also helped me put it on one night) Invidia v.3 Divorced Downpipe (wish i had that 4in turboXS, it's nasty)
ERZ 3" bellmouth downpipe and Tsudo 3" catback with 4" N1 style axle back. i want to change it with a 4" Turbo XS downpipe and 3" Turbo XS catback along with Turbo XS up pipe and gruppe-s unequal length header.
About to be installed: Turbo XS flex up/Injen Catted down/2006 STI cat back(waiting for gaskets, hangers, heat wrap, best of all: V2 Cobb access port (all in the mail). I will update with progress!
Bugeye: Custom Downpipe 3 inch with a full 3 inch Borla Hush...Very quite..I like STI: Perrin downpipe with JIC Titanium 3 inch with resonator...its a little loud but it sounds good.
prodrive TBE, I absolutely love the tone at both idle and WOT, but it's only 2.75" i think, so I'll be going with the COBB TBE within the next year or so. it looks the closest to prodrive in terms of build quality, but it's 3" (i know, the rear DP has the taper, but i'm gonna get doug to cut that off)
3" helix catted downpipe and 3" greddy evo 2 catback. perfect fitiment. nice muted rumble at idle and sounds good at WOT. not a loud exhaust
Tial 38mm External wastegate vented to atmosphere and a Perrin twin tip. It is quite loud. I measured 119 decibles on the dyno What 119 db compares to.
Added it to the threads of interest, http://www.wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4877 godspeed catless downpipe + cobb catback
Fujitsubo EL headers, 4" Custom TXS downpipe and 3" TXS catted midpipe with a 2.5" Prodrive (round tip) axleback . Quiet Oh, my the way I have an STi axleback ( very good condition ) if any one is interested.
3" Nvidia high-flow cat DP > 2.5"-3" Greddy Evo2 Catback. Very quiet, heck I think it's quieter then a stock STi, but not at WOT. And it doesn't give anyone a headache, me or my passengers.
STI uppipe + Heat-wrapped catless Helix DP + STI Axleback = the best sound, look, and performance for the budget.
I got tired of the aftermarket exhaust drone so... Perrin rotated DP welded into a Y with a remote controlled valve on a 3" turndown dump pipe. It's usually closed which makes all the exhaust go through a high flow 3" cat then thru the stock exhaust. And the whole setup is tucked in tight and not hanging 2" lower than everything else (like it used to). Just follow my link below for more details.
The Borla Hush doesn't really have a drone, at cruise its probably as quiet as a stock exhaust if you care. Matt
Yeah, but with this setup all he has to do is push a button and have an open downpipe exhuast dump:naughty:
wrapped ERZ downpipe, Stromung midpipe, Prodrive oval tip axleback. No resonators, no cats, smells terrible, but sounds great Probably not the best performing exhaust setup, but the sound is very comfortable and I get plenty of that beautiful boxer growl.
Just got the Invidia v2 catless. Running it open right now. Sounds nasty but in a good way. Making a 3" flange to weld my turn down on tomorrow. Ran the stock dp that way and never had any issuses. We'll see how long I get away with it before I get a ticket. Once that happens I'll like into a catback
