How much will each component changes the tone of an exhaust tone.

    Up & DP ?
    Resonator ?
    Axleback ?

    Approximates are ok

Up and DP = large increase in overall sound level, not much change in tone

Resonator = Hello highway drone...not much change in tone

Axleback = As much a change in tone as you desire. The closest to stock, while giving a decent increase in volume seems to be the prodrive, while the TXS RFL and the blitz nur spec can make the car crazy loud, with the blitz sounding a little meaner/better in my opinion...

after having both the blitz nur spec and the TXS RFL, i would have to dissagree with the blitz sounding meaner and definatly not louder, but that may also be bc i have a non resonated 3in straight through TXS. The blitz was loud and sounded pretty mean, but it was nothing near as loud as the txs setup that i have now, alex and several others have heard it, its almost tooo loud. hahah, back to the thread though, get a resonated exhaust or you will regret it...droooooooooooooooooooooooooooone............

The downpipe will give you an audible difference. The upipe really gives the engine bay more of a noise increase. Catback is where your sound is coming from. This piping and the muffler design ultimately control the final tone coming out.

Since I bought your Blitz, I guess it is subjective, but the TXS sounds more buzzy to me, though I don't think I have heard one with the straight pipe...

apex has always given me a good clean sound on all my cars..240{both with ka and sr motor},300zx turbo{88},86 bmw 325ix,and 97 pontiac gtp. so with turbo, supercharged and na i have had great sound,no buz,and good looks and i couldnt be happier with the n1 on my wrx

if you don't buy new gaskets you'll have a lot of new sounds...lol
I personally still think the scoobysport sounds the best.
As far as each pipe, the mid and down made the most difference to me. I did those first and then added the up pipe. didn't notice too much volume increase when I added the u/p.
