F$ckin STI

    I am really startig to hate this car. just tried to pull the turbo, but i see now, with the help of john(married04wrx) that u have to pull the down pipe first. this car is not very user friendly.

    ps It may get back into my good graces if weapon would move on this side of town.

    yeah dude... our cars are real awkward to work on... u takin it off to get the wastegate ported?

    yep, but i may wait now. i wish there was somewhere up there to do and leave it until i got it back, i have another car if i could get back to it

    DP is easy to remove :bigthumb:

    Just pull it and continue; hey, at least you dont own an evo with an inline 4 *Gasp*!

    i could have your turbo out in an hour..maybe less if the nuts and bolts cooperate :D

    Yeah it helps to research before you do something...saves alot of headaches and pissed off rages were you kick and kill stuff. Down pipe takes two seconds to take off. The uppipe bolts i feel are more difficult. Really is pretty simple.

    i've learned to walk away when i get stressed, but i now have to put it back together and put it on ramps to get my fat ass under the car to remove the downpipe, maybe i will just wait until i get my downpipe.

    Subies hard to work on?

    Try changing spark plugs on an LT1 f-body.... :mad:

    Been years and I STILL have the emotional scars.... :p

    weapon it will be to far to drive for u, but thanks anyway, plus i have to work this weekend. i wont be able to touch it agian till next weekend

    Once you start working with them, things come easier, you start making less horrible errors and just more stoopid ones that make ya laugh when you're done.

    Yep

    I havent done much more than taking the intercooler/intake off but I can get the whole thing off in 5 mins now, getting it back on is still a PITA.
