I think that I am going to finally go with either one of these after my RE 92's conk out. Porter has the 451's on his Forester and they are really great on handling. He said that I could pick up the 452's for 100.00 per tire on edgeracing.com. Mark
First of all Chris, I am not getting the 451's, and second of all, the 452 is a great tire. Why exactly do they suck ass as you put it???. Mark
the 451's suck, i know from personal experience. they are currently wraped around my BBS's. if you don't beleive me, got ahead and try them. they don't hold traction for shit, ask ped.
hahaha.... yeah, there are traction issues with the 451's. We'll video tape it sometime and post up the proof... :wiggle: I wouldn't buy any that's for DAMN sure!!
Someone I know has the 451 Beta's and they were really good with traction on a RS 2.5. I am thinking about the FK 452's not the 451's. The 452's also have a good rating. Mark I am also looking at Kumho's too. This won't be until I wear down my RE 92's. I also heard from several people too that the Kumho 711's are pretty bad, but you know it is all about personal preference.... Mark
Mark, You should have jumped on the deal for S03s a few weeks back, one of the best street tires for half off!
mark, you should jump on the goodyear eagle f1 gs-d3! i got mine for $300-ish shipped after the gift card!
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes.jsp?make=Goodyear&model=Eagle+F1+GS-D3 $88 each for 215/45-17, which should work great on the '06 wrx wheels, or your narrow 04 wheels (good for 7-8" wide wheels) -- Brian
S03s rock. I havent ever tracked them but they're grippy as hell on the street. They're almost beat so I need to start looking for some more affordable alternatives, these were just a great deal with the wheels.
SO3s are great street tires only. They are completely lacking on the Track or Auto X course. If I had a set of wheels dedicated to street driving, I would have the SO3s there, then have my Falken Azenis for Track, Auto X.
I would have to agree to disagree, while they may not be the best dry track or autox tire, they rock it to russia in the rain (I bought mine rain autox/street tires). I started off autoxing my SO3s and then I had the stock 70s and I felt no real difference in dry grip. However if I was looking for the ultimate multi-purpose autox, street track day, I would definately go with the Falkens.
anyone have input on the Nitto NeoGen ZR's...? also when your referring to the Falkens are you talking about the Falken Azenis RT-615?....j/w
