maybe to make a movie about, but when you got someone that really knows what their doing (or you do it), it can be pretty awesome!

Nope it is gay in everyway. A complete waste of car, "driver", sponsor money, television coverage, etc...

Sorry, but drifting will rest in the same fiery ring of hell that colored wipers and exhaust whistles reside in.

I hope after the movie, all the kids that watch it all attempt to drift out of the parking lot or something, that would be fun to watch. (we gotta make sure to park on the other side of the parking lot or far away!)

My question is why in the preview are people driving in the left hand side of the car, as opposed to the right hand side; japanese car are right hand drive right and the movie is taking place in japan? Makes no sense.

Could it be that USDM conversions are all the rage on the streets of Tokyo? :)

i would disagree... personally i prefer going fast over going sideways but i enjoy watching a good drifter in action... i'd definitely watch drifting over nascar

i dont think i noticed that... but i guess they could mirror some of the sequences (of course with some editing) to make them look RHD

i believe some of the scenes were also shot here in the states, maybe those are the scenes they show in the previews.

I haven't even seen the previews, but isn't it supposed to be partially about cars imported to Japan?

They were driving around in Zs in, I guess we will have to see how they spin it or if they even mention the fact the cars are the wrong side drive for the country. I thought the whole move took place in japan, hence the title "tokyo drift". Anywho I doubt I'll ever see it, the first two movies lowered my IQ enough.... besides who would want to see this crap when we can see "Snakes on a Plane", now that's crap i'm willing to use my old student id to pay $6.50 for ;).

Most of the movie was actually shot in the US, the scenes from the preview are actually shot in downtown L.A. The cars used are actual jdm cars brought over from japan or usdm cars modified to jdm spec (if you believe the producers).

Just so everybody knows, this movie is not available online yet. I will keep my eyes open and will update this thread once I find it.
