I was wanting a good pizza yesterday and I ended up driving to Everybody's Pizza over at Emory for their meatball pizza which is just amazing with a little cheddar and bacon on it. This is what sparked this post requesting input from board members who live in the Atlanta area. If you feel like it please share your pizza preferences here. I'm wanting to see if there are any consistant places that eveybody likes or some other obscure places that are worth us trying. 1) What are your favorite three to four pizza place choices in this city? 2) What is your favorite kind of crust. a) cracker b) thin c) regular d) thick/pan My favorite places for pizza here in Atlanta are: 1) Everybody's Pizza, -good pizza, amazing crust and fresh toppings, get a cheddar meatball something pizza it is exceptional http://www.everybodyspizza.com/ 2) Mellow Mushroom - I've always liked the shroom. ( I still go to the sandy Springs location, it feels a bit less corp and I swear it's more consistant there) http://www.mellowmushroom.com/menu.html 3) NY Pizza Exchange ( Vinings) - They're pretty creative with normal pizza/deli ingredients. http://www.nypizzaexchange.com 4) CPK - The BBQ chicken is a fave of mine. http://www.cpk.com
1. Everybody's is a family favorite, hell I grew up on it! 2/3. This a tough spot, mellow mushroom and felinis hold a warm place near my heart for a close second. CPK is fun, but its not what I consider a straight pizza place. There's a couple great pizza joins in Little Five as well. For crust, I prefer a hearty one, hence why I love everybodys, felinis and mellow mushroom. Everybody's is slightly dry while the shrooms is a bit more chewy. Its all so tasty
1)fellinies 2)mellow mushroom 3)Johnnys Chicago's on Roswell/Northridge was the best I've ever had but they closed down For delivery its Atena's everytime...
I haven't found a Greek or Medeteranian pizza place around here that sidelines in pizza, but when I was in Santa Cruz I would order a falafel pizza that came with a garlic-tzatziki based sauce. While away I also used to order combo pizza's from a Greek place down the road and they'd put on kalamata olives and tons of garlic. That made the pizza taste so much better. Muy Yum!! If anyone here knows where I can get that kind of grub around here let me know!
Fellinis because I work there. Savage and L5P Pizza are both good alternatives. Mellow Mushroom's always good.
I like Everybody's Pizza when I make it down that way.... Biba's on Sugarloaf has an amazing Sicilian Pie... Pizzano's pizza in historic Norcross is a great place for white pizza Overall, I like Sid's in Alpharetta, very hearty, artisian style crust I'm sure I'm leaving one or two out, but those are the ones that standout to me
Fellini's for the atmosphere, but my favorite pizza is Partners Pizza in Peachtree City. Followed closely by Uno's Pizzaeria.
Atena's in Sandy Springs advertises as Mediteranian... I just get straight pep/extra cheese so I can't speak for anything special on the menu. Its great pizza though and prices are good...
I love Fellini's and I also like that place that I went to with Scotty B a while ago...Is that Sid's?. They are both awesome....I also like Mellow Mushroom for the crust...Actually Mellow Mushroom has a different name now...I forgot it. I need to try out Pie Bar...It looks like the pizza is good there... Mark
Yeah bro...that was Sid's I love thier white pizza, very simple but good, but overall, you can't go wrong with any of thier pizzas really
